AUTHOR AND SPEAKER GUIDELINE
We are pleased to welcome you to the IFCPC Paris 2026 Congress, which will take place from June 4 to June 6, 2026, at the Palais des Congrès de Versailles.
In preparation for your presentation, please find below the technical instructions to be followed.
PowerPoint Template:
To facilitate your oral presentation, you may download the official IFCPC Paris 2026 Congress speaker template here.
For all communications, please note that they must be prepared exclusively in English (oral presentations, commented e-posters, and e-posters). Presentations/Posters in French will not be accepted.
Oral presentations
As a speaker, you are required to prepare, prior to the congress, a presentation that will serve as an educational resource for your participants. This material constitutes a pedagogical reference and must therefore include up-to-date data on the topic addressed, the bibliography of the articles cited, and details on how to access the resources mentioned in your presentation.
Your participation in this congress as a speaker is entirely voluntary and does not give rise to any remuneration.
Technical Instructions:
Note regarding oral presentations: You will have a total of 7 minutes for your intervention (5 minutes for your presentation followed by 2 minutes for discussion with participants).
Please find below several technical recommendations concerning your presentation:
- Presentations should preferably be prepared in a PC-compatible PowerPoint format (PowerPoint 2019 or earlier versions).
- Please save your file in .pptx format to ensure optimal compatibility.
- Slides must be set to a 16:9 landscape format (this can be adjusted in the page setup settings).
- Kindly use standard fonts that are recognized by PCs (such as Times New Roman, Arial, Comic Sans, etc.), and use the Wingdings font for special characters, symbols, and bullet points.
- If your presentation contains multimedia elements (video / audio / images):
- Insert images and videos using the “Insert” function. Images must be in .jpg, .gif, .tif, or .bmp format (.pict format is not compatible).
- Please limit video and audio files to 1 GB whenever possible and prioritize .mp4 and .wmv formats.
- If your video originates from medical equipment, please ensure that it does not require proprietary software for playback.
- If you are working on a Mac, please avoid using Mac OS–specific fonts. Use Windows-compatible fonts and save your presentation in .pptx format to ensure that images and graphics are preserved when displayed on a PC.
- Your presentation should be clear and accessible to all. Please adopt a smooth speaking pace, taking the audience into consideration to allow everyone to follow easily.
- It is recommended to avoid low-contrast combinations (such as red text on a green background) and to favor simple diagrams and visuals to enhance comprehension.
Pre-Projection Room Procedures:
All speakers are requested to report to the pre-projection room to upload and/or validate their presentation either the day before or at least two hours prior to the start of their session.
Please note: personal laptops may not be used in the conference room.
To ensure that each speaker has sufficient time to review their materials, only minor modifications will be permitted on the pre-projection workstations.
We kindly ask that you bring a copy of your presentation, along with any video files used, on digital media (USB flash drive or external hard drive). A team of technical experts will be available in the pre-projection room to assist you with uploading and verifying your files.
Note: If you use images or photographs in your PowerPoint presentation, please ensure that they are royalty-free or that you have obtained the author’s permission.
On the Day of Your Presentation:
We kindly invite you to consult the online program available on the congress website in order to review the schedule and structure of your session. Please ensure that you strictly adhere to the time slot allocated for your presentation.
Each conference room is equipped with a computer located at the lectern, connected to the pre-projection room network, from which all presentations will be delivered.
Please click on your name to open your presentation, and press the “Esc” key at the end of your talk to return to the main menu.
